Jenny May-Caronchi has been teaching dance for nearly 30 years and is an active member of the British Association of Teachers of Dance (BATD). In addition to Highland Dance, she enjoys other dance forms and has choreographed several local musicals, including 42nd Street, Anything Goes, Brigadoon, Once Upon a Mattress and the Fantastiks. Jenny is also a member of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society (RSCDS), performing with the Cleveland Heights branch. She promotes Scottish heritage and culture as a member of the Scottish Heritage Association of Northeast Ohio (SHANO), and in 2008 was inducted into SHANO’s Scottish Hall of Fame. A 200-hour certified yoga instructor, Jenny often incorporates yoga into her dance classes.
The Jenny May School of Dance is located in Mayfield Heights, Ohio and offers Highland Dance lessons to those ages five and up. The dancers perform in shows and competitions throughout the year. You can see the dancers at the Cleveland Oktoberfest, the Cleveland International Tattoo, the SHANO Robert Burns Anniversary Dinner, the Red Hackle Pipes and Drums Tartan Ball, and more.
